Cockshutt 40

Big Puller

New User
I was thinking about building A Cockshutt 40 puller. I was wondering how light people have gotten them. What would be some good upgrades for a “stock” puller?

There is nothing stock about a stock puller. I would start with a Gleaner combine motor. A 301 Gas from a G or a xt 190 tractor would be my first choice. Then a 301 Allis diesel from anything. And take the turbo off. Good for 100 hp. They are almost a bolt in. And a Buda. I don't know how light you can.get a 40 . But you could surely start with a 30. Lol. You can get anything 500 lbs lighter than anyone can believe. My D17 Diesel weighs 3800# and its got 18.4X38's with steel wheels and tubes and no aluminum . Except front wheels. And thats with 2. Batteries group 31. And a 426 engine. Above all have fun ! And its more fun if you win once in a while.

This one was out on the track for the first time last night. Did pretty good. Sorry couldn't get it to load.
