I've heard the the row crop adjustable axles are stronger for tractor pulling than the standard axles. If the standard axles are weaker is it the axle that is weak or is it the hub?
 
I put 950 horse threw the axles with non adjustable hubs and have not had any trouble weighing 6000 pounds, it saves money on building a set of adjustable hubs or buying plates to weld on.
