Cold weather

I've got a ford 960 and when it's cold it will only start
good if I have a battery charger on it, it will crank
but it will not start, what could be the problem

Too many amps being used to crank. Not enough left for firing ignition. May be a sign of a starter that draws more than it should, a battery that doesn't put out enough or dirty connection somewhere.

The battery I have is only a 525 cold cranking amp
so that is probly the problem because in the
summer it starts as soon as you hit the button

Likely a combo of things. Bat, cables, thick cold oil etc, maybee a little light on compression.

Due a tune up and oil change if needed, clean bat terminals, check connections.

After that, warm up and check compression.

Might need just simple maint and nothing big
