I inherited a Cole planter from my dad. I m trying to get it ready for spring planting. I ve converted it to work with the 140 fasthitch. While cleaning it up I noticed that there are no grease zerks anywhere on it. Is this normal or have they all broken off? I can t believe that my dad would have not replaced if zerks supposed to be there. If no zerks do you let everything run dry or do you spray with penetrating oil or something similar. I hope this Cole works out. It so much easier to put on the tractor than the I/H belly mounted planter.

Been years since I've been around one, I don't ever remember zerks, most I recall is pulling the pack wheels off and putting some grease on the axle and that was only once. We did run talc on the seeds to keep the plates lubed.
