How many colors does your Ford tractor have?
I was stripping one of my 2n's down today
It has red, yellow, green, midnight blue?,orange, white, silver and of course grey, and a bit of black.
Kirk

2Ns were what I call a medium gray. A lot of people painted them up to look more like the 8Ns, but they didn't come that color.

Kirk.......does it matter? Unless you were entering a concours d'elegance paint it enny color that pleases you. I once saw a 8N painted panty-pink. Which is better'n green'n'yellow, I'd guess. I'm partial to a 20/20 paint job. Looks good at 20-ft or 20-mph.........painter Dell

Dell, your thrown some 50 cent words out there, with that conkars-dglance..... some of us we live on dirt roads. And I thought you was the sparkie mr.....Just sayin

It don't matter. It will be put back dark grey. Plan on keeping it or I would paint it 8n colors cause they sell faster than the 9n colors.
Not a restore so just knocking the loose paint off and top coating adding the winch for pulling logs so I'm sure it Will get scratched up in the woods. Paint to keep rust at Bay.
Just seems strange it was painted so many odd ball colors.

Yup.
You see a lot of 9/2Ns painted in 8N colors.
People even advertise them as "all original" and no one even bats an eye.
But if you see one painted Blue or with an alternator hanging on the side folks think it's a travesty.
Fickle aren't we...

My 2N is light gray sheet metal and blue cast iron.

My 8N is light gray sheet metal and red cast iron (might be the original colors after allowing for fading).
