compact tire cross over question

Friend of mine has a John Deere compact with 36 x 13.5 x 15 turf and wanted to know what size R-4 tires would fit these rims. I've never spent much time around these little tractors and didn't know what to tell him. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

If 4 X 4 have him contact his dealer.

It is imperative that F and R tires be appropriately sized to have the tractor gear correctly.

They did not cross over. If you have turf tires you have one size rim/wheels. If you have R-4 tires you have a different rim/wheel. They are not the same size with just a different tire on the rim.

He will find his Turf tires are a BIG donut type tire. The R-4 where narrower and had a much different profile. The ratio from front to back would have been the same but with different size tires front and back.

The R-4 tires are in demand and the turf tires can hardly be given away. He is looking at some serious money to get the tires switched. To do it correctly he would need rims and tires. If it is a MFWD one he would need front and back.

Would be easier/cheaper to buy the compact with the tires he wanted.
