I have recently purchased a set of Hollingsworth compression inserts for my 1951 JD A tractor. I could sure use some info on the installation process and any other technical advise, that is availiable. Thank You.

I'm not super knowledgable about these, but was discussing inserts recently. I think they're threaded or notched to be held by the sparkplug in the top of the cylinder. Had some in an A 15yrs ago.

Hope it helps a little

A 51 A shouldn't need them. Or do you have a rear all-fuel model ? Those inserts were more for earlier A's with all-fuel pistons.

I had a 52 gas that had them installed when I got it. They are on the underside of the engine, between the frame. As far as I know you unscrew the factory plugs and screw the petcock in the holes.
