Computer Help

I've noticed that some of you have been having computer problems, wheather it was how to install or uninstall something to viruses to programs , to all kinds of other computer problems , including what antivirus should I use . I found this computer site by accident and it seems very informative and explanitory about computer and internet security and virus programs. Along with a variety of other things computer related . It's worth reading , also be sure to click on and read the highlighted blue or green links and scroll down to the very bottom of the page nearly and click on and read the links to other computer problems related to that page and topic. The link below is a link to the page that I was talking about and viewing . Go to askbobrankin.com to see his homepage and for information on other stuff that may interest you .

He doesn't have the best malware remover listed. It is Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. I also read an article about free antivirus software. It stated that Clam-Win wasn't very good. I use Avast on 2 of my computers and it seems to work good. I have Norton Antivirus 2009 and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware on my main computer.

Actually Sir , he does mention it because I wrote it down in my notes as I was reading his webpages they were listed under another topic on another page . I use Avast too, and I've heard of most of the others he mentioned. I thought about trying them but since Avast is doing a good job ( at least I haven't had any problems yet ) I figured if it isn't broke ,why break it ? But everyone is entilted to their own opinion. Since he advertised so many, I think what he was trying to do was take the most top "10" and list them , I guess, by popularity . Or the top 10 ,so to speak and we could choose which one we personally liked and wanted to use from the choices that he listed. But everyone has their likes and dislikes and their own preferences and opinions . You can't satisfy everone . What one person like another one may hate, etc.. Not everyone going to agree on everything . In other words everyone has their own opinions. There are a lot of factors that can affect how a virus program works - how often it stays / is updated , what it's designed to look for, and other programs can conflict with it causing undesired effects and therefore causing the computers operator not to like it and go look for a better one. But still, I hope you found something on the site that can benefit you now or later . Here is a link to the page were I found Malwarebytes Anti-Malware listed below.

If you run a good Operating system in the first place, you will have a lot less problems to begin with. Get away from windows and spending all that money for problems. Go Linux. JMHO.

A lot of it has to deal with what the problem is and were it's located and and what type it is - virus , malware , worm ,etc.as well as to what the problem does and as to wheather or not your program finds it. Paid subscription virus programs generally ( but not always ) do more than freeware programs.
