cellar door

New User
I have a Ford 8N front mount 6 volt tractor. I changed the points, plugs, spark plug wires, rotor, cap , coil and ignition switch.
The tractor started right up,ran for about one hour and I shut it off. When I tried to start it again it did not start. I checked for spark and there is no spark. I jumped the ignition and still no spark. With a circuit tester I had no power to the top of the coil with the key on. I had no power to the terminal block and no power from the terminal block to the coil. What could be the problem?
Thank You.

cellar door.......did you check BOTH sides of the "infamous ballast resistor" with yer test lite??? Key ON??? Ballast resistor is like litebulb. It either works or it don't. Iff'n it don't work, guess what??? NO SPARKIES. Isn't that amazing??? tip: ballast resistor gitts HOT when it is working. .......Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister

Power passes from the terminal block to ign sw to resistor,to coil.if sw or resistor is bad, you'll not have power to coil.---lha
