Had a neighbor whos wife was really sensitive about the
treatment of unwanted critters. Running joke between the
neighbor and I was they were all relocated. Relocated 12
inches lower that they started.

In Indiana we call Whistle Pigs groundhogs.
In Kentucky, I heard them called Whistle Pigs.
I too had to ask what's a Whistle Pig?
Not sure if the term Whistle pigs are universal
term used all over the USA.

Well, technically, we are not supposed to relocate wildlife, but the Game Commission does it all the time to
problem animals.

Now, regarding the possum, you might ''accidentally'' drop the trap (with the possum in it) into the lake or river
and take your time about fishing it out (lol).

I don't mind possums so much, since they do more good than harm - or at least they don't eat my vegetables. The
rabbits and ground hogs are my problems. I've had to replant twice already to replace what they destroyed.
