Copper head gasket

I have a friend who has a copper head gasket and wants to reuse it on his m, Can you reuse it and how do you prepare it?

Just simply clean it up and use it. I've used a large propane torch to anneal them in the past, but I've also just put them in without annealing also.

Be careful and make sure he gets a good seal on it. I purchased one and I never could get it to seal the water out completely. Of course I have read where others have no problems. Many recommend the copper spray sealer stuff or copper paste to help seal...
