Cordless Drill Batteries

I have a Craftsman cordless drill that I have had for quite a few years that needs new batteries but they are no longer available. I have purchased 1.2 volt 1300mah cells and rebuilt a battery pack for it and it works fine. The problem is the cost. Can anyone tell me where I can buy these rechargeable cells at a reasonable cost? e-mail [email protected]

What do you consider resonable? Can be had in quantity (on e-bay) for about 75 cents........fewer items=more cost per item.

Hello Lesformore,
Here is a link for you. They are one of many places you can get batteries.
I have used Sanyo's batteries for years, would not buy any other brand. I have one pack of Panasonics, they were used for practice only,
when we raced our R/C vehicles.

I ran across a link at "chevy talk" about a way to bring old batteries back to life with a wire feed welder. Chuck it up in a vise, and rib the stinger wire on the plus terminal, while holding the ground clamp on the minus. The whole key however, is to be able to find a polarity on the battery, and also to know if your welder is running reverse polarity. (very confusing) These were also bigger batteries, (18v) I don't know about smaller ones.

I've had the same problem with my old Craftsman drill and found out that I can buy a new Dewalt 18v drill with batteries and charger for just a little more money which I'm sure is made in either Mexico or China.
