Going through Mom and Dad's stuff prior to the estate auction last Saturday we ran across this plaque. I hadn't seen it for years but I remember Pop being really proud of it. He and my grandpa, Lewis Mitchell put it in with a 101 Jr MH and a 29 WC. They used a horse drawn planter converted to pull behind a tractor. gm

When I think of Missouri, I think of fiddlin' and great fiddlers. Do you play fiddle or know of someone who does?
Our tax guy does, made his own out of local resources. I used to play a doghouse bass with some bluegrass guys but let it get away years ago and got interested in other things. gm
 
They had to be so excited to win, but a bit disappointed to miss 100 by less than half a bushel!

I assume this was the start of hybrid corn seed they were using, when corn yields took their big jump up?

I could not address that question and the last man that could died lately. I can say that was a drought year, this was about all bottom ground, and the little rain they got was timely. gm
