CORN HEAD FOR JD 95

WANTING A CORN HEAD FOR MY 1968 JD 95. NOT SURE WHAT MODELS TO BE LOOKING FOR. WAS TOLD THESE HEADS CAME WITH THE FEEDER HOUSE ATTATCHED. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECITATED.

Dose your 95 have a quick-tach feeder house on it? If it dose you can use a 343 or 443 style corn head on it. The ones made for it were the 335 and 435N corn heads 3 and 4 row narrow allso came in wide row too. The old heads are very heavy compared to the newer heads. Bandit

I don't believe it has the quick attatch opption. As far back as anyone can remember it has only had the bean head on it. Where would be the best place to start looking for one of these heads? 3 row on 30 inch would be ideal but got a feeling these may be hard to find especially in the Arkansas area.

Ok I may have to back up a little here. My hydraulic hoses on my header have couplers. What else would I look for to determin weather or not it has a quick atatch feeder house?

Here is a picture of a quick-tach feeder house with the L bracket on it for the right hand drive for a 3 row narrow quick-tach head on a JD 95 combine. I like a 3 row on the 95 because its lighter and you dont drive on corn stocks and you cant slow it down! 1st pic is of the L bracket, 2nd is of a 4400 with the quick-tach feeder house. If yours looks like the one on the 4400s (flat faced) then you have a quick-tach feeder house. If the bottom is rounded at the bottom its the old style feeder house and the newer heads wont fit it. I hope these pics help you out. Bandit

I know I don't have the L bracket but I still can't tell about the feeder house without taking my header off. It sure is true a picture is worth a thousand words.

A Quick-tach feeder house has the raddle chain in feeder house come way to bottom ; detachable or J style feeder house [used originally on 55, 95, 105,] has drum with fingers before chain...

That tells the story right there I do have the drum with spikes below the feederhouse chain so I would need to have a intermediate feederhouse to mount a 40 series corn head. Thanks to both you guys this message both is the best source of information i've found in quite a while.

I have 2 434W 4 Row wide Corn heads & 1 Narrow 4 row.
Also Have a quick tatch throught & the mounting plate for the bean head. Had this for a JD95 combine. Also some grain pickups. My 95 Combine Had spacers on the axels so it is 2' wider than normal.
With the newer feeder house you can use newer heads but with the spacer blocks its to wide for a narrow head.
