Corn head grease

I have a New Holland 462 disc mower that is leaking the 80-90 oil out of the cutterbar. I am wondering if I could put corn head grease in it to hopefully slow it down. It is a major job to disassemble the cutter bar to fix the leak. This is the same as a Kuhn GMD66. I only mow about 10 acres so I just fill it about every 3 hours
but oil is expensive. Any suggestions? thanks 🧑‍🌾

Should be fine
I got one around here that's been running 20 years on whatever is in the grease gun whenever I decide its time to put a few pumps in it

My JD #5 mower has had gun grease in it for the past 20 years and still works.

I have corn head grease in two mower gearboxes. No problems. The tube in a grease gun was kind of a pain so I found a quart bottle of "00" grease on line.

Corn head grease will flow when being flung around or moved by gears but will stiffen back up when the machine is at rest.
It is also thicker than 90w so it resists leaking past worn seals while protecting the gears inside the box.
I use it in the manual steering box of my ford tractor with no problems.

I use corn head grease in my PHD gear box and to grease my rollers on the crawler. Don't know about using it to seal a leak, would expect to see it leaking past seals with use.
