What does everyone use besides roundup in roundup corn to help kill giant ragweeds in corn about 10 inces tall.ITS been rain on andrain on. Not much of a chance to spray. Jim

How tall is the corn?

24D or Banvel (dicomba) work well, but the corn should be small.

There are good broadleaf killed - some even are based on dicomba - for taller corn but they tend to get more expensive.

As cheap as roundup is I would just increase the roundup rate, unless the corn is small enough, do as Paul said.

Make sure to use some type of Nitrogen product with the Roundup. Something like Ammonium sulfate or Class Act.

We use our normal rate of Roundup, (usually 22-32 oz of Roundup PowerMax), and spike it with 1oz Callisto and 1pt of Atrazine. Kill lots and lots of tough weeds that way. callisto adds about $6 per acre, another $2 for atrazine. Approx cost...
