Correct engine color for Cletrac engine

Can anyone tell me what color the Hercules engine was in the Cletrac Model BGSH year 1948. I see traces of a gray color with a few items on the engine appearing to have been painted black. Would appreciate any help you guys can give me.

I think they were the same color as the rest of the tractor. Maybe the gray engine was painted that way when it was replaced.
I know all my newer Oliver crawlers (OC3, OC-4, OC-12) are yellow all over. You might post the question on Cletrac.org someone there may be more qualified to answer your question.

Thank for the reply. This is the first crawler for me don't think I have even seen another Cletrac. I have never driven one ether. I have the same post on Cletrac.org but no reply as of yet. I hope you are right as I would like to see the engine Cletrac orange. We will wait and see what others have to say. It will be a few months before the engine gets it final color.
