I bought a 1946 B a couple of months ago. i have it torn down rebuilding it. Looking for an 8.5" clutch plate at this point, but came upon a question. My serial number on the tractor starts with a C as in C72910. That doesn't mean i actually have a C does it? I bought this B specifically because the my Grandfathers first tractor and the first one I drove as a kid.

1. Check the motor number. you could have a B motor with a C rearend (with should still be the same trans/rear diff housing)
2. Measure the width between the final drives. If I recall C's were a bit wider stanced than Bs.

Hard to say what you have without a pic or
more information. At the very least you
have a transmission case from a C, or you
might have a complete model C, or anything
in between.

B is roughly 5 ft wide outside the rear tires... C is more like 6 ft... B has a steering box below
gas tank with the arm DOWN and rod going to front left wheel... C has the steering box below the
gas tank and a second box below the radiator and the arm goes between the two....

If you dont have that, then probably just switch trans with a C.

The drawbar on a B is almost U or horseshoe shape, the one on a C is much more open at the front ends.
