coverting to 12 volt

Only if it is somehow special i.e.; very low serial # or feature/condition that demands 100% originality) There are alternator
conversions of original generators that cannot be noticed casually. Jim

As they said, depends in who is buying it
and for what reason. Over all Id say its a
wash, do with it as you please.

Depends on how you're converting it. If I was buying it and you had gone to a 12v generator, no problem, but if it had an
alternator cobbled up on it, flopping around on some home made bracket like a knob on an outhouse door and scabbed up wiring, I'd
probably thank you for your time and get right back in the truck.

Amp meters are cheap at the parts store, it does not need to be a hand held tool. You could make a box for it and #8 fine strand
wires with alligator clips and make a tool out of it after diagnosing the circuit. NAPA has them for about 13 bucks. Jim
