i did, and it got me a parts page, but no year. It is 917.254631

The mower itself now doesnt want to jumpstart anymore, what could cause that?? The silinoid???

from the mid to late 80s I have one like it .briggs or tecumseh engine.

Lots of things a bad safety switch bad key switch cables starter god only knows with those beasts . maybe the battery is so shot it won't even take current .
