Craftsman tool box colors.

I have an older Craftsman roller cabinet that l kind of owe a little tlc after having bought it used then using it for 50 years. Do any of you guys know what the original colors were? TIA,,,, gm

aged craftsman box is grey.

I would not touch the patina on that toolbox. It is looking great to me.joe

That gray is not just a regular gray it has a like orange peel look sort of to it originally if you know what I mean on that. IT was not a smooth gray like a ford tractor.

Kinda looks like the hammered type of paint. I've gotten it at Lowes in one quart containers. Made by Rustoleum. Brush it on. Watch for
runs. Best to paint when cooler. The paint needs time to create the effect. Painting when hot or in the sun, the paint sets up too quickly
and the hammer marks are very small.

Not orange peel but more like hammered metal. Hammerite makes a nice spray paint, but I agree that I'd leave it as is.

Never knew they made any other color than red that both of mine were. Think
I bought them in the ninetys

I acquired mine in 1974, they were gray
with red trim.
