crankshaft pulley

The pulley which turns the fan and alternator has a wobble to it. Does anyone have a similar problem? Ford 8n. Thanks.

Bruce........yep, quite common fer the 3-piece sheetmetal front pulley to warp and wobble. The BETTER 1-piece "billet" pulleys do NOT wobble as they are turned on a lathe. As a general rule, wobbling pulleys are NOT a dangerous situation ...but... wobblin' FANBLADES can come loose and damage yer radiator and other things. .......Dell, safety preacher

Most likely it is the old original style made of heavy sheetmetal. They are prone to eventually failing. When I got my 2N the center of the pulley was completely broken away from the rest of the pulley... Replace it with the heavy made replacement pulley.
