i thought steve did a good job not everything was perfect but pretty good, i suggest that anyone that complains put on a pull of their own it's more work than you think good luck

Hi Eric, I had wanted to find out more about that over 20 MPH thing after you told me about it but I couldn't catch you before you left. I hope that you will give it another try if he does it again next year. Try to keep in mind that Steve put the whole thing together in just two weeks, and took in $900.00 less than he put into it out of his own pocket. I didn't like everything about the pull but I am sure that there are things that Steve didn't like himself and will want to do differently next year. He has been pulling for probably over 15 years and is trying to put on a puller's pull. I hope that you will give it another try next year. Probably see you at North Haverhill next summer.

For the record , Eric is a great guy and knows his stuff, he has built alot of tractors in his past and always does a great job and is a great puller, he never causes any trouble and always lends a hand if needed,So if he said this pull was a joke ,I would take his word, it takes alot to get Eric upset ,I've never seen him upset so somebody or something yanked his chain...

Hey eric when you show up to a pull and go 10 mph faster than any one else what do you expect. The rules said no speed limit in the enhanced, so why did you bring a HOT FARM! Theres always a sore loser when you spend to much on a tractor.

To Moline Madness,I was at the pull all day and there was plenty of Hot Tractors I know Eric and he didn"t buy his tractor ,he built it.Theres a lot of combine engines pulling there,so to single out Erics tractor as being to hot isnt right.When he got third in the king of the hill no one cared.But when he won the 7000 and yes he was the true winner!I always thought that an open class is just that.As for all the coments that were floating around,like only cheaters have side shields,our club has safety rules.Side shields,scatter shields and electric fans.What I saw sat there was a lot of high reving tractors with no safety equipment.Is only a matter of time till a 60 year old fan blade flys apart and hurts someone,or a cast iron flywheel comes apart on one of the many 4000+rpm 460/560"sI think takeing Erics trophy away was Bull Sh*t

Second, 20 mph is that reasonable when most arent going 7,8,9 mph? i dont think so. maybe they should impose a speed limit in all classes. I never said eric bought his tractor I meant it burns your butt more to when you have big $ into them and still lose!

I myself was there in the afternoon and this pull was no different than any other pull I"ve been to. Sounds like a case of sour grapes.

Help me understand. There was a tractor pull that was put together in less than 2 weeks. They had approx. 250 hooks and was done in less than 9 hours. The guy with the 666 is getting a trophy for winning a special class. The pull paid big purse money $o to win. The 666 put on a good show. For anybody that was there watching clearly saw his dominance. In all sincerity good for him. He was good entertainment. That being said it is like bringing and m16 to a knife fight or John Force showing up to Wednesday night grudge night and winning. Do you think he would get much satisfaction. For those that are applauding him for building his tractor is it really that big an accomplishment to put a hot dt361 into a 666. Is that where we want the sport to go in an enhanced class? I guess I thought it was to allow stock tractors to pull together and let hotter tractors pull together. If these guys want to put any motor they want into a tractor frame go pull in classes that are designed for that and see how competitive they really are. It is not really that impressive pulling a small sled with warm full tractors. My hat is off to the guy that organized that pull it was a really good day and a lot of fun.

Are you for real? I can't imagine complaining about something so trivial. Everybody there realized that it was the best tractor there. How much does ones ego need to be stroked. Should the red carpet be rolled out and "All Hail the King" be played next time?

Eric let me know where you pull. I will come down to your pulls and wax you every time I don't break. Unless you don't really want competition. I will understand if you don't. It can really bruise ones ego.

Sounds like the rules need to be posted and then stay with them no matter who wins.And yes i do run a pull with a bunch of good help.Hard to keep every body happy but if you stick with rules on body has a real complant.

Well what can I say...I had about 15 hooks in that class and two of the tractors were Eric's and Mr. Duksa's. They were both going about 10-12 mph faster than everybody else. Eric was going about 21 mph and Mr. Duksa was going about 18 mph, so after i saw that I made a decision to put Eric and Mr. Duksa in their own class. I also said that I would buy another trophy at $40 a piece for the winner and that is what we did. I thought it was a good decision and I did not shut the door on anyone. I feel that Eric had a very good chance of winning and if he did, I am sure that this would not even be a discussion. Now as for King of the Hill, his tractor fell into those guidelines, the class was made for tractors like Eric's. It was open to v8 tractors as well. Listen guys I did the best I could with what I had. 227 in 9 hours, with 2 weeks to get it together and all of the other stuff, like going to work and paying the blls, I think 99.9% of the people that came loved it. Sorry fr that 0.1% that didn't. In closing I want to thank everybody that came, including Eric "awesome tractor" He by far put on a great show and I feel that if he is this upset I would like to personally send him a check for the money he spent in fuel to come. P.S. We will be having one next year and we will have a few more rules and a better track surface. And I hope that it's bigger and better. Thanks again, Steve

Steve i dont want your money its not about winning or looseing i came based on your rules cut tires. one turbo .no speed limit intternal engine work stroked. pump work and you changed it at the end thats the big deal next time right the rules alittle clearer been pulling many years been beet many times i pull be cause i like it . no hard feeling

Speaking only for myself, we run enhanced stock not modified. If you had a totally different motor, then you're out of line. Win like you did with a stock block, different story. But a DT-360? Big deal! You're better to stay home. That's not where we want pulling to go around here. Besides I heard all kinds of praise for you're work with different tractors. Why the hell would you want to hang your hat on a motor swap?


P.S. Sorry Bob. No disrespect to you. I know he's you're friend and I respect loyalty but by the spirit of the posted rules, I'm behind Steve.
