Crossbow herbicide killing grass

I have used Crossbow Herbicide in my hay field for the last 2 years to kill scotch broom and blackberries. It worked good and just killed the offending plants that I spot sprayed.
This year the crossbow appears to be killing the grass around the scotch broom and blackberries.
Using 2 ounces per gallon in a 15 gallon spot sprayer.
Sprayer was was washed and rinsed at completion of spraying last year.
Crossbow used this year was a gallon that was left over from last year. I have only used Crossbow in this sprayer.
Has anyone else had this happen? Anything that you think I am doing wrong? Could I be spraying too heavily?

Crossbow will damage grass if used in drought conditions.

Most selective herbicides will damage grass if applied excessively.

Crossbow or generic crossroad is a selective broadleaf and brush killer. It would make quick work of your honeysuckle!
