Cub Cadet / Tiller value?

I have found a Cub Cadet 102 with a 28" model 1 tiller and was wondering what the two of them together in good working condition are worth? There is also a 1450 hydro stat with a 40" model 2 tiller that I don't know what a fair price is either? I've done a little looking and it seems their asking price is pretty steep, but I would like some more opinions. Thanks for your replies.

the 102 with tiller around 400.00 to 550.00 it depends on what they look like an how they run the 1450 with tiller 800.00 to 1000.00 where i live in pa .

In my area (NE Kansas) cubs go pretty high - especially ones in good running condition. The 102 (in good looking and running condition) could easily go for $500 by itself. I see nonrunning units advertised for $300 and they seem to sell.

Most useable CC tillers sell for $200-$350 range (with gear box and belts).

The 1450 in good running complete condition will go for $500 to $1000. I watched a decent looking/running 1250 go for $1200 at an auction near Topeka last spring. Nothing exceptional about it, looked like it had been stored inside when not in use but with all the scrapes and dings you would expect on a mower used regularly.

I bought my 1450 with a tiller 6 years ago for $600 and have been told I stole it several times. I ran it one year and rebuilt the engine due to the huge amount of oil it used (half a quart per tank of fuel).

I sold a good running but rough looking Cub 109 with a small deck on Craigs list for $450 in about 6 hours late last summer. Could have sold it three or four times with all the calls I got and that with pulling the add the same day I posted it. Probably should have asked for more.

That seems to be the case from what I had found earlier. I wonder why they seem to go cheaper in the eastern part of the country...?
