I bought a cc 124 at a local auction a few months ago and it came with a trailer. The auction listing mentioned it was an ih trailer, but there's no stickers or id tags anywhere on it so I just assumed it was just a typical trailer.
Was scrolling through Facebook and I saw the same trailer a guy was about to restore. Got me thinking about it again. Did some searching and Im pretty sure its a "number 1" trailer made by ih from '60-'67.
Read a few posts on them from at least 10 years ago saying they are rare/hard to find. How rare are they? How many did they make? Did anyone ever reproduce them? I looked at my "150 years of ih" book that has darn near everything ih made, and there's no mention of trailers.
This one's in great shape. Has some rust on the inside, probably because it holds water really well. Looks like I'll have to move this one under cover. Im sure the extra walls are homemade. Done really well though.
