I am having a problem with my cucumber plant leaves curling up and the plant dies. This has happened in past years also. Some plants still look healthy but others die. We have had more than our share of rain in northern Ohio, could this be the problem?

Sounds like downey mildew.We spray weekly or more depending on rainfall.Bravo or Manzate around here.

Cucumber beetle can also infect the plants. They like to come out after a rain on a warm humid day.

How long do your cucumbers produce, sc farmer? I can get a long time in the greenhouses, but only a short while in the fields. (Lexington County)

2-3 weeks but the grade goes down the longer we pick.Never tried in greenhouse but I'm sure they would last longer.

A lot of blight here in PA and the North East. The wet weather allows the spores to get passed all around. It is a fungi and this wet weather is ideal for fungi to spread and wreck havoc.

Sorry I took so long. Short time in my field is 2-3 weeks, 4 maximum. Longtime in greenhouses is a couple of months.
