Cummins 5.9 Injector Pump

Good morning all! I have a Case IH 5690T that the injection pump has went bad on. Was scrolling Fakebook marketplace and happen to come across a rebuilt one. The plate on my pump shows 460426154. The plate on that pump shows 460426141. They look the same. It states it was used for testing on a Komatsu WA250. About the same horsepower. Does anyone know if this would work? TIA!

Send yours to Diesel Tech and have it rebuilt. Then you will know it’s right.

The Cummins 5.9 used CAV DPA, Bosch VE rotary pumps, OR Bosch inline pumps That number means nothing to me, a photo would be helpful.

DO NOT buy it, that's a FOUR CYLINDER pump for a 4BT Cummins.

Started getting metal in my fuel shut off solenoid. Ran it for quite a while without a lift pump. My buddy tells me that probably caused it. Will probably take a full rebuild.

While a lift pump is a good idea, the Bosch VE pump will work without one. When the VW Rabbit came out years ago they never used a lift/feed pump. The late IH Neuss engines with either VA or VE pumps don't use one either.

What about that pump? Do you think it will work? Looks the same and off similar horsepower.
