I have been looking at alot of N tractors, and especially the carburetor area due to all the issues I had, and I noticed alot of them have the in-line filter. I thought that these are made for the vacuum type systems?
Do people add them not knowing or is there a special in-line filter made for the gravity fed systems?

A lot of people add them not knowing they are adding a problem to there fuel systems. And yes there are in line filters made for gravity flow systems and any good lawn mower shop or motorcycle shop will have them

I used an inline filter cuz my tank had crud/rust and I had no time or $'s to fix it properly. Ran it that way for 5-6 years w/o any problems.
