I want to cut a hole in my hood for a larger exhaust stack. What is the best way to do a neat, clean job?

Secure a 2x6 across old hole and use a hole saw. One method of holding board is to drill little holes through the metal part you are cutting out and use little screws to fasten the board.

mark out the hole size you want with silver pencil for metal and have someone or your self cut it with a plasma if it not already painted. if it is painted you will have to do it with a metal jig saw or like other guys mentioned 2x6 under it and drill with hole saw.....
