cutting tires

How much tread is needed to have tires cut for pulling? I picked up a pair of co-op 15.5-38 6ply. They are unevenly worn and have almost no lug on one side of one tire and uneven on the other tire.

If you are allowed full cut tires, then you can probably get by with those. I am not sure if it is possible if you are just allowed top cut tires, as those rules don't allow you to cut anything off the front of the tread.

ih560 right about that if you can do top and front you dont need lot tread that being said a guy brough a long bar short bar co-op over to me to v cut. and there wasn't enough rubber on them to cut. the co-op tires just dont have lot rubber to work with. you get into the cord real fast so my guess is it be real cloes if you dont have any tread left. now that just my 2 cents worth.
