Any tricks on getting a cylinder head off a D17 block. Can’t budge it with brass sludge hammer or try to wedge anything in between , tried two foot pipe In exhaust holes, nothing looking for ideas.

Any tricks on getting a cylinder head off a D17 block. Can’t budge it with brass sludge hammer or try to wedge anything in between , tried two foot pipe In exhaust holes, nothing looking for ideas.

Fill each cylinder with rope that is small enough to fit in the plug holes and then tap on the starter with with short fast taps. The rope and the starter will push the head up

Can you still crank it over? Put a few head nuts on part way and try cranking it over a few times.
