cylinder sleeves

I'm in the process of making a puller to remove the sleeves from my 1961 601 workmaster. This engine is the 134 cubic inch. Could someone please tell me the diameter of the bore in the block or the wall thickness of the sleeve? This is the first time to overhaul one myself. Thanks in advance.

Sleeves I pulled out of my 1956 640 measured 3.65 od. Wall about .106 thick.

The standard bore of a 134 is 3.4375 and 3.50 bore sleeves and pistons are available. I'm not sure what the OD of the sleeve in a 134 is, but a 172 has .110 thick sleeves standard.

If I were you I would find a 172 block or better yet a 192 industrial. the cranks are all the same (3.60 stroke) as are the rods, cam, and other internals.

I'm sorry I misread your original post, I thought you were going to build a pulling motor,Duh!

In some 134's it's possible to bore the inside of the sleeve for a larger piston for rebuild rather than pulling and replacing the sleeves.

I'd make sure there are sleeves in the block before I'd try pulling.Pretty sure late X01 blocks were parent bore blocks.
