I hate to be repetative and ask what already has been asked in the past. My question is what grade and weight of engine oil should I be running in my D-17. I live in northern MN and dont run the tractor in the winter.

Just for the sake of conversation, we ran our WD for 60 years with nothing but 10w30 in it in E Central Wis. We also ran it in our WC when multi-vicosity oil first came out. No problems at all. Heavy plowing, planting, baling, chopping, pushing snow, you name it. 10w30 year around.

In my WD for the first 30 years used 20W and the last 30 put 10W30 in it. Always used a major oil company motor oil.
