D-17 Hydraulics

I have an early model D-17 with one way single acting hydraulic port. What all is involved to make it work to operated a daul acting cylinder. Just bought a haybine and need the two ports, one pressure, one return, not clear on the plumbing and how to tie it all together.

Easiest way is to take the return hose off of your haybine and put a breather in that port of the cylinder.

That sounds pretty easy, never would have thought of that. As long as there is no leakage in the cylinder piston packings, that would work. If there is any bypass leakage; it would be a little messy with oil spillage.

yes it work just fine.I have 1960 D17 with a one way hyd port us all time that way.I just leve the other hose on
