D14 steering

Will the inline Char-lyn steering system work on my D14 with loader? It's almost impossible to steer with a load. Thanks for any help.

What does the inline Charlyn steering system consist of or look like? I suppose if you'd come across a D14 with power steering being wrecked out would be the easiest option.

I believe he is referring to the Char-lynn torque generator as the inline power steering. Steiner has them as well as many other suppliers.
Just add a GM power steering pump to supply fluid to the char-lynn torque generator and your good to go.

Yah,it is the inline system. It is currently on an H that I bought for parts. It has its own pump but
I wasn't sure how much it would help my D14 with a loader.

If it's the kind that's part of the long drag link it might not work on a D14 because they don't have that linkage. No power steering with a loader is OK for pushing snow but not for much else. I have one D14 with factory power steering and loader and that works really great.
