D15 II Factory 3 point casting?

Have pleaded my case on another AC forum with no luck. Thought I might try it here.

A am looking for the casting used to support the lower 3 point and drawbar assembly to the tractor frame. This is on a D15 series II with factory 3 point hitch.

This casting has 4 flanges or feet the bolts fit through and mine is busted in two places. May have mine welded, but would prefer to go back with a pristine one that does not have welds if I can find one.

If anyone has an intact casting they could part with, I'm interested.

(quoted from post at 10:49:14 01/20/19) You might try sandy lake equipment.

Have tried Sandy Lake (Brenda......a national treasure)....Cooks and most of the other salvage yards I have heard about. Did find a guy who would sell me one for $1,000. I'm not that desperate yet.

Ironically, there is a pristine casting on a dismantled D15 sitting about 15 miles from me.....in a sea of dismantled AC tractors.....but the owner is not interested in selling parts off any of them. Claims they are in the process of rebuilding the engine.....which judging from the size of the tree growing up through it has been underway for a while. But it is his tractor, his part and his call. I respect that.

So the guy I need to find is the one who has the tractor he is willing to give up on and part out for a cost I can afford. I haven't found that guy yet. 8)

My quest for this part has led me to the conclusion there may not be such a thing as a worthless tractor. Likely as not, there is somebody somewhere looking for it. Hard part is finding a way to put guy with tractor/part wanting to sell in contact with guy wanting part and willing to buy. Like searching for a needle in a haystack. They are out there.....and maybe even in abundance. Good luck finding them.

PS: Have been watching ebay for about 4 months.......no joy there either.

The problem is most tractors that had the part you need also has their parts torn up.I'd make the guy a good cash offer that has the part on it near you and let him think about it for awhile
or offer to buy the whole tractor.Cash motivates lots of times.

Cheap and quick makes for a tall order when looking for a hard to find part. I dont know of a single
parts yard that does not know a rare part when they have it so as you surmised you are basically waiting
for an individual who does not know what he has to present himself. That being said I would not pay
$1000 for that part either. Drop quick out of your equation and you might find one at your price, or you
might not. The only sure fire way is to pay the price when one presents itself.
