D17 oil fill cap

Is there any way to stop oil from leaking down the oil fill cap onto the valve cover? I can see the steel wool in the cap, but I do not see anyway for the oil that gets into the wool to get back into the valve cover.

Sounds like excessive blowby from the cylinders. Does it use oil, need rings or overhaul>

Does not appear to be using oil. Does not smoke and oil level stays at full on stick.

Sticking rings or valve guide problem will cause that type of problem. You might add a bit of ATF to the gas and also to the oil and see if that helps clean things up and loosen thing up. It will not hurt a thing but might help a good bit
