Have some family that has one. Bought it about five years ago. It has a six way blade probably in the mid eighties. They bought it with pyramid tracks and replaced them with standard grousers. Ive used it a bit cutting a drive way for Mom, it done ok. Pretty easy to over heat in Tn clay and slate though. With that said it seems to be a good machine theyve had no problems getting filters or parts. They gave around 8500 for it. Keep in mind Im no dozer operator but I feel its too light and underpowered. Weve hauled it with a bumper pull trailer and a three quarter ton truck without issue. Id figure it weighs around 8-9000 lbs.

(quoted from post at 06:18:33 12/31/11) i belive your talking about a d21, cuz what iv read is the d 31 is a 16000 pound machine

You may be right. They have two a d21 loader (mid 70s model) and the dozer which I was thinking was a d 31 because its larger than the loader, but it is newer. The dozer definately is no where near 16000 though. Both are grey market machines I dont know if that makes a difference. More power and more weight would definately make for a better machine though. Sorry for bad pics of dozer its all I have on my phone at the moment.
