D4 7u headlights

Anybody got any need 2. Preferably in MN. Need to specifically be for a CAT D4 7u series, they have the metal cage on the out side.

These lights are getting harder and harder to find. There is a business near me with an I.H.C. derived forklift that has a pair on it, but they wont sell them to me. I've offered a brand new set of CHROME lights- that I'd install myself- PLUS cash, still no deal.

Best bet is a scrapyard out in the sticks that has some heavy equipment in it or a farm auction. I got a nice pair 2 years ago at auction for 15.oo. The auctioneer thought they might have been "Driving lights for a dune buggy?" The only difference between these and a set off of a Cat (I too have a D4-7U) is that these were painted red because they originally came off of a IHC "TD6"crawler. Apparently Cat and I.H.C. sourced the same style of Guide headlight with brush guard, because I've seen this identical model of light on both makes of equipment.

On the bright side, If you do spot some at a swap meet or an auction, you'll probably be the only person there that knows what they are for which MIGHT keep the price low.....

You might try Zimmerman Tractor in Versailles, MO, 573-378-7210. They have a large salvage yard of crawler, I have bought a lot of parts for my T-6 there
