I bought d4 cat where are ser.# located? the only place i see d4 is at bottom of rad. housing both sides has pony motor 6 speed trans. is there a place to get used tracks for it?

Older ones ( any idea of the age of the tractor at all ?) had the tag on the left side of the engine block and on the left side, rear, above the final drive filler plug, up a little on the frame or the big housing under the operators seat, if the tags are gone, should be stamped into the metal, have to carefully clean and reveal the letters/numbers.

Undercarriage will depend on what you have, S/N of the tractor will help, + determining what is on there now etc. see if you can find those serial numbers as described above,

this is from a 951 manual but the location of the engine and bevel gear case are the same as far back as I can remember

thank you for reply i looked real close i can see where mine was on rear of engine left side tabs are there no plate

scrape the paint off the SN should be stampd into the casting.
