Dairy barn litter carrier

Anyone recognize what brand of carrier this may be. It is all wood side construction and a galvanized floor in it. Not home made by a long shot. I got the carrier and some track as well as a turnstyle for it. Originally painted a ferguson light grey and no paint anywhere underneath. All investigation only brings up the side dump metal kind. This one is and end dump from either side.

Is that a litter carrier or a feed carrier? Usually a litter carrier was for manure and was U-shaped the other direction,then flipped over to dump. That outfit in the picture looks like it's tapered to scoop grain or silage from either end with a fork or a scoop.

It could be. The owner I got it from used it to trolley feed around the barn to the hogs which the barn was converted into raising. It was originally a big Dairy barn and his dad bought it from the gentleman that had the dairy. Still wondering what brand it may be or if anyone has seen another quite like it.

I have a 1917 edition of The James Way catalog and on page 224 there is pictured "The James Feed Car" that looks very similar to yours, the ends appear to be a bit steeper and the description says it is "Constructed of selected lumber; bottom and ends 20 gauge galvanized steel, the design making it easy to shovel. Corners bound with corner iron." Also the size is listed ;Extreme length 68 inches, width 26 inches, height 24 inches. In the picture the end shown is stenciled with the logo "JAMES" and it says "The James Mfg. Co. Feed Car Ft. Atkinson, Wis." Hope this helps.

Most likely mine is a little newer maybe. It's a little longer and a little taller but the same width. I would say from the decription that is the same Manufacturer. If there is a chance to post a pic out of the magazine I would be interested in seeing it. I think you nailed it down though. Thanks a bunch.
