Darned squirrels

Went at changing the rad on my old dodge today and found this when I took air box out of the way. Guessing squirrels? Also included a pic of fan as I think this is what old needs on his super 88 to solve all his heating problems :)

I had one like that in my F250 SD a few years back. Don't know if it was squirrels, mice or what but sure made a mess. The joys of living in the country.

I keep a one pound peanut butter jar under the hood.
With about a cup of peanut butter mixed with ground up rat poison bar mixed into it.
In the fall I have to reload it often.
In the spring and summer it disappears much slower.

I just posted on "Tractor Tales" about how I mouseproofed my Tacoma.
They were chewing up both the cabin and engine air filters in my truck.

I was having a bad time with squirrels here a few years back. I built a trap that was put up here on YT and shortly I had caught two. Since then I see them all around but they have not been in my barn or the trees near the barn. The word got out!

A little ammonia sprayed on the air filter when installed and about very three to four months would have prevented that.

Spraying ammonia around the outside of your barn, house and garden will keep pesky critters at bay also. Their noses can't handle it long after it has been applied.

I had a problem with them a couple of years ago. Chewed off the wires to the transmission on my pickup. Been shooting them with 22 shotshells. got 4 so far this year.
