Davis cylinder

Several days ago I submitted questions for the bucket cylinder, was reffered to the N web site. Problem they do not list my lift. Mine is a Davis Skylift model 4982. Ayone ever heard of this lift and how to repair or replace the bucket cylinder?

Goes the "gland" end of the cylinder unscrew like the other Davis units?

Is so, it's easy to get apart and a nearby industrial hydraulic shop should be able to get you the seals by dimension.

Baum Hydraulics in Omaha, for sure, will have ANY seal you might find in there.

Yes it does unscrew so I will go for it!

It is a simple job easy to do. If you see any gouges or rust pits in the cyl. or rod it may not last long before leaking again.
