Whose 560 was there with the aluminum wheels, etc. I don"t remember seeing that before?? It looked pretty sharp for a 560. What classes did it pull?

Glad that they finally split up the cut and uncut tire tractors. I was only there for about a half hour and one of the old timers(you can probably guess...) was complaining about the seperation of cut/uncut and how it didn"t mean a hill of beans. I listened respectfully and don"t say much. I saw the pulloff for the 4,000 uncut class before I left, and then as I was going up 11 on the way home I looked down and saw one of the 1st tractors of the cut tire classes putting at least 20-30 ft on the winner of the uncut class and wondered if my old timer friend noticed the same...

That was one of the better track surfaces I"ve seen at BV let alone for the New year"s day pull. I remember the 1st or 2nd year they had it going out and they had put salt on the track to melt the ice - had about 2-3" of water across most of the track and ice underneath most of it still - memorable day:). I don"t know if they got a few of the light sprinkles that we got at home later in the afternoon, but they sure were blessed with great weather for a pull for Jan 1!!

As mEL said the 560 was Ryans!

The Track was Good 2 times inbetween showers Then MUD!

The Cut/Noncut is a Great and will allow the Noncut Guys a chance!

I am Shure that the Oldtimer Never looked at distance of any to Compare But He Did Win 4500 Cut!

My Farmall C in 4000 Cut was almost out to a Full Pull and I was 3rd! If it where under the Old Rules like you said the Noncut guys would never been Close!

The C Won 3000 and Got 3rd in 3500 / 4000 Cut ! Knot A Bad Start For the First 3 Hooks on a New Tractor!

The C Should Be a Fun Ride and Look Foward to Pulling it More!

Mike,
Happy New Year to you and your Famaly!

I'm glad to hear others think the split was a good idea. This was the first i had a full pull and made it to a pull off. I ended up with a second in the 4000 non cut. I always have fun at a pull but its a little discouraging some times to be completely out classed buy 1/3 of the tractors in a class. I don't hold anything against the guys with the "better" tractors because someday i'd like to be one. At this time i play with what i have and i can honestly say i had the most fun so far. Then the mud bog began 4500 i had 23' and 5000= 45' mabe next time.

Come on out to MAFMCA in Washingtonville - we'd love to have you. Cut tires have been split out for over ten years. First pull of the year is the last Saturday in April and is a Benefit pull for the Danville FFA chapter. Try it out I think you'll like it.

Is that montour delong? If it is thats off of route 54 on the north side of 80 right? I've heard of it but have never been able to get there.

Yep. We have a monthly pull April throughout the summer the last saturday of the month. It's off of route 254 about a mile off of route 54. You can get off of the Limestoneville Exit of 80 and run it right in from that direction too (Milton truck stop exit). What tractor were you running in the 4000? That's the only class I saw pull.

I had the primer grey jd b. Do you guys have a website with times, classes, rules, and that kinds of stuff? Saturday mornings are rough I work friday nights and don't know when i'm getting back in the mornings. I work out of sunbury but live south of there in herndon.

Most pulls start at 10:00am except during the show over labor day weekend. I just went looking for the website and it is not to be found... there's a club meeting tonight so I'll try to find out. It hadn't been very up to date and they were having problems getting things to load correctly, so I added the rules to my school website so that they can be found for people coming to the FFA pull. The dates will change, but I don't think that any of the rules will be changing this year. Rules can be found at: http://www.danville.k12.pa.us/webpages/mshultz/files/mafmca%20pulling%20rules%202011.pdf
MAFMCA 2011 Rules not changing for 2012

There are usually more tractors in the uncut tire class at 3 or 3.5mph(I forget) and the competition is pretty stiff in those classes. Do you have a set of cut tires?
