Dc case wheel question

I have the center cast and rim apart for painting. When I go to install back together, is it best to install center cast on rim, and then put back on axel/ OR is there a better way, thanks Jg

I tried it both ways with my sc which is similar to the DC. I would put it on the axle first and then put a couple of the wheel brackets on and rotate them towards the top. Then either by yourself or with a helper carefully lift the rim and put it on. Then let it swing down and put the rest of clamps on. Poof done.

It saves the old back since the cast centers are not light by any stretch of the imagination.

Thats what I was thinking ,I was taking the centers out of rims, and man they are heavey. Jim
