Does anyone know of a source for the front vertical spindle bearings for a DC Case or cross reference numbers. The Case numbers are 05446AB for the top bushing and 02206ABI for the bottom bearing and 01460AB for the race. These are not available from CNH and I have had no luck finding them.

I would think a machine shop could make a bushing, and usable lower bearings could be found at salvage yards, if no replacements are available

Try John Saeli 315-585-9826 or Don Livingston 507-433-0073

The Timken numbers I have are 462 for the lower bearing and 453A for the lower race.
I'm pretty sure I bought them from John Saeli.
But he can cross reference Case numbers to find what you need.
The upper bushing was made at a local machine shop.
If you look at the parts diagram there are shims between the top of the bolster and the steering lever to set the preload on the lower bearing.
If the bearing is set up loose the spindle will be pounding up and down as you go over uneven ground.
it might not be much movement, but it is hammering together.

I have a DC carcas in the cow pasture that probably has a good working one still on it
