Common practice, at least in our shop was to put new exhausts in and move the old exhausts to intake ports. Never had any problems doing that.

Taking some heads apart for the valves. One head had all exhaust valves in it. Is it ok to use exhaust valves for the intakes? Thanks.
No one that I know makes Intake Valves for those heads, only the Exhaust. Dimensions are the same. Good thing the Exhausts are still made because Exhaust Valves can be used in the Intakes, but you couldn't use Intakes in the Exhaust seats because Exhaust Valves are built to take the heat of the exhaust. Intakes are not.

534 Ford has the right stem length and diameter, 7/16, but you have to use the Ford caps and keepers, I have put lots of 2.02 intakes in the 5576 head, they could be cut down to 1.75 I would guess if stuff gets real hard to find. Just throwing that out there for guys that like to think outside the box. That is not a good plan for the 5505 as the chamber is to tight around the curve. For my big bore builds the 5576 gives me better flow and room to run a nice popup at 4 5/8 bore.
