What can you Case people tell me about long axles. What models all had them as an option? How much longer are they? Thanks, Bill

I tried to measure mine. They appear to
Be 5 or 6 inches longer per side. I have
A pair in my salvage pile as well as sc
Long axles.

I think I have a couple DC and SC tractors with the long axles, will look that over and report back. It seems like long axle and single front tire option often went together. Always suspected it was desired for irrigated potato production. Mike.

I have a SC with the long axles and a single front. Used to have a DC with them and a wide front. Row crops like sugar beets, pinto beans, onions carrots were grown on 22 inch row spacing in irrigated soil. SC was set at 88 inches, center to center and a six row cultivator. Dad and I farmed near to Greeley, Co.

We had a Mar-Beet mounted one row beet harvester, there was an extension that was installed on the right axle to extend that tire 66 inch's from the centerline of the tractor. Pull, top and knock the dirt off and put the tops in a windrow, all in one pass.
They were made by Blackwelder in Stockton California. You would be lucky to even see one of them in a picture.
Took a day to mount it.
Let me know if you or anyone you might know ever had one!
