DC sleeves &pistons

Service manual says that you can service everything except the crank and oil pump through the access holes in the oil pan. Has anyone put sleeves and pistons in using these holes. Wondering how hard it is to push the rod and piston out through these holes, and to torque the rod bolts. Thanks.

Yep, I did a sleeve on an La like that.
Just have to protect the crankshaft from scratches.

sleeves you have to pull the head to remove you can remove a piston without removing the head though , if I do more than one I pull the pan off myself
